What Are They Talking About?

Featured Replies

Being out and about in Bangkok (walking, on the bus, shopping...) I often have Thai people (mostly age group 14 to 45) murmur repeatedly behind my back words like 'soong pan baht', 'RuS-Sia', 'som tam', 'ka-mok', etc. And yes, I am mostly around in a nice, fresh long-sleeve shirt and clean dark long pants. So, what are they up to? :o

Back home the people think too that all Thai women are 'for sale', but I wouldn't walk around in Bangkok, murmuring 'last night - sii pan baht, sure...' when seeing any Thai woman... :D

Maybe they are or maybe they are just trying to find out how much you charge!
