Myself and my partner are thinking of going to Koh Samet this weekend for 2 nights as we have heard its a very nice island to visit (nice beaches, relaxation, nice sea food etc). We would be looking for a nice hotel directly on the beach. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Samet Villa is about 1500/night and right in the midst of things in the populated area...something a lot more isolated is Nimmanoradee. Stayed in both, no problems. Nimmanoradee is 3000/night and quite a bit nicer.

Oh, I just realized you want to go this weekend...it's a Thai long weekend, good luck with finding something, Samet is VERY full when there's a holiday.

I would try to book ahead if possible and avoid walking all over the place.

Malibu Resort...........they will sort mini bus and ferry for you as well...........also resort has swimming pool that many dont have on Samed

They have an office in Pattaya.........50m into Soi Yamoto on the left.

I think we'll have a look at those hotels next weekend when its less busy.
