If your referring to what in North America is called Wild Rice, it is actually not a variety of rice, but a different species of plant, I think a water grass. From what I know it requires cold climates to grow. I have no idea if it can grow in the North of Thailand. Seen it (imported) a long time ago at Villa.

Yes, I'm talking about what is called wild rice in North America. Interesting, I didn't realize it was a different plant. Thanks for the information. Do you, or anyone else, happen to know the Thai word for it? Thanks for the help! :o
