vin1965 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I need some help with my visa situation please. I have a non immigrant o 1 year marrige visa extension with multi re entry at the moment. it runs out on the 22 April 2008 I will be going back to the Uk in March returning to Thailand on the 9th April. My question is can I apply for a 1 year extension visa in Hull England as that is where I will be staying and if so what docs to I need. Also if that is not possable I have heard that the law has changed in Thailand regarding my marriage visa hear. Does anybody know about this?. Thanks for any help. Vince
Lite Beer Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 The 1 year extension has to be applied for at an immigration office in Thailand. If you have been getting this in the past with 400,000 Baht in the bank you can continue to do this again. If you have not, then the requirement is 40,000Baht a month income. Your post is not actually very clear as to what you have now. If you are talking about a Non O Visa Multi Entry, you can get this at Hull. Will need your marriage licence to show as proof.
damian Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 On this O marriage extension and 40k thing am I correct with the following: 40k income from Thailand - show tax statement and bank book etc OR 40k from abroad - show evidence of income in bank book with a letter from your embassy stating that you earnt the money from abroad OR 40k from abroad - show evidence of income in bankbook with a statement from the financial institution stating your income. Once you get the extension you go for the re-entry permit (if you are travelling) and when you return your entry stamp will show the expiry date of the extension and you dont have to do any more visa runs. Is this right? Got my first extension coming up in March next year.

Maestro Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 No. 2 is also wrong. Immigration wants to see a confirmation from the embassy, and the embassy and/or immigration may want to see a confirmation from the entity paying you the income. -- Maestro

I was forgetting about the American Embassy , that does not. How was the Bordaux this Christmas?
