A question for all you knowledgeble expats out there.

I was born in Thailand and held a Thai passport until I became a naturalized US citizen, and now holding a US Passport. I never officially renounced my Thai citizenship.

My questions:

1-Can I still be considered a Thai citizen and apply for Thai passport? (does Th/US allow duel citizenships?)

2-Can I still be a land owner? (i.e buy land in my Thai name?)

I mean, not trying to get myself in trouble here but how would either govts know I'm a citizen of another?

Thanks!

While I am not a very knowledgeble person or a lawyer :o

I don't think you will have any trouble getting a Thai passport as you are still Thai

or buying land as again you are still Thai you don't stop being Thai untill you activly seek/apply to renounce your citizenship, so I would say you will be fine.

Remember I am not a lawyer. :D

There was a thread about this, here on the Thaivisa site not long ago.

have look here.
