Hi guys

Need some advices from the big bros here. Im from singapore. my wife and i will be setting a small business in bangkok. I'm trying to get a visa for 1 yr what type of other visa can i apply beside the marriage visa.

My wife and i have not register yet. also my wife wont be able to show her income tax as she not been working for awhile.

from what i last read about marriage visa i had to put 13k sing dollars in a thai bank inorder for me to get a spouse visa.

Is there any other way i can get 1 yr beside this. also dont tell me about the 20k payment visa ^^ hehehe.

i see 2 friend actually when to the emberssy in singapore to apply a 1yr visa not sure is it a tourist visa.

i was thinking once we earning enough then we apply for the marriage visa.

Cheers and thanks in advances.

Once you are legally married to a Thai, you can apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa, but until you can show a monthly income of 40,000 baht, getting extended visa's can't happen. Money in a bank in Thailand is no longer an extension option.

You have no marriage options without marriage. There is no dedicated marriage visa. Once married you would qualify for a non immigrant O visa to visit Thai family and with marriage certificate/wife ID card and 400k (at Baht rate) in a bank account somewhere Singapore seems willing to issue a multi entry non immigrant O visa that allows 90 day stays for a period of one year. Extensions of stay inside Thailand requires 40k monthly family income proof.

If you have employment that would open other options but would suggest that you consult a law firm, such as Sunbelt. if you wish to set up business.
