Help Setting Up Tot Adsl Router On Mac

Featured Replies

I recently moved into a new building and was set up with ADSL through TOT. Today I was given a Billion BiPAC 5210S modem/router. I am using a Macbook running 10.5.

I plugged everything in and under my network setting I have an IP Address, Subnet Mask and Router numbers. The cd they gave me is Windows only. I read through the manual that states I can set up the router through my browser by entering the IP Address and I tried that but it wouldn't connect. How do I get online?

you are probably entering the wrong address. What is your Mac's ip address?

Throw the cd in the bin you don't need it.

Ok so you need to type into the safari address bar, 192.168.1.0 or 192.168.1.1

Then you should get the set up screen

Open the System Preferences then the Network icon...just follow the assist button.

1.1 gives me a login screen. In the box was a piece of paper with pass/login but it's written in Thai. The User Name is: 02somethinginthai@bestcyber and the password is 02somethinginthai. I tried using my phone number in place of the Thai because my number starts with 02 but that didn't work. In the manual it says I can reset the router so I tried that and entered the default login/pass, "admin/admin" but that didn't work. Maybe my building hasn't activated my internet access?

Looks like you need to type "somethinginthai" in Thai. (Control Panel / Regional and Language Options)

Maybe get a Thai person to help? :o
