Think you answered your own question :o Anytime is ok to visit :D

The weather in April is great. It is sunny and warm and as we are coming into low season it is less crowded in Phuket.

Also if you will be here April 13,14 and 15 then you can enjoy the Songkran Holiday. April is one of the warmest months and even in May the weather is still great !

The hottest month of the year. Very hot, very humid. I try to be away for April and May. Worst two months of the year to be in Phuket.

Hot baby, HOT !

You eat the hot chilies to cool your mouth down

The seasons here are tolerable, hot, really hot and April

The water is hot coming out of the taps

Your biggest worry in case of a motorbike wreck is not the wreck, but whether or not you are going to cook to death lying there on the pavement.

LMAO... it does get pretty hot! :o

I think April is a good month to return to Thailand as the seasons really start to change. Usually the trade winds switch to come back in from the West and the surf starts to pick up again in Phuket, hooray! Also as mentioned above things start to get a little quieter which is definately a relief from the zoo type peak periods of tourism.

Take it easy...

Hey Guys, im having a 2 week songkran holiday (i live in bangkok) and am going down to Phuket/Phi Phi/Lanta and then fly back. Im so worried about the weather though! storm today, rain all day yesterday and the weekend....anyone think this is normal for the start of april or is this global warming changing the weather so rainy season comes early! il be super disappointed if its going to rain the whole time im on holiday!

Any reassurance would be great thanks!!!! :o

For sure the rain came very early to Phuket this 2009 year. Usually starts about Songkran, but there has been rain (mostly showers) for over 4 weeks. It did not rain all day yesterday, just a heavy shower for about 50 minutes about 18.00. Same again today, heavy rain for a short time about 16.00. I've had the top down in my car every morning most days, sure there are clouds about. Was actually quite sunny this morning. So to summarise I doubt whether you will have rain all day every day. More like some rain for a short time. Lots of sun bit harder to say.

Thanks for this. I feel sad cos ive lived here for 1 year and its my first time to the south! Bangkok is very damp and overcast. I just hope if it is going to rain it wont be all the time and there will be some sun so i can get to the beach!! Just my luck for rainy season to come early!! :o

Beautiful day today... so far. Lots of sun filtering through light clouds. Really hot... 35 C. Just had a look at the Phuket Airport rain radar web site. Not a sign of rain for this evening.
