The requirements are

1

Proof of income of not less than

Baht 65,000 per month;

We know that

or

2

Account deposit with a bank in

Thailand of not less than Baht

800,000 as shown in bank

account transactions for the

past 3 months;

We know that

BUT I found in this site

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3139

a link to

http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/2notice/rtp606EN.pdf

On this document I read:

3

Annual income plus bank

account deposit totaling not less

than Baht 800,000 as of the

filing date of application

As anyone a RECENT experience regarding this requirement # 3? Is it true / possible or not? Did you obtain your extension thanks to this clause? Have you been rejected?

If the immigration official text is not valid anymore maybe it's better to delete the link.

Yes it is true.

Last year it was true for sure.

I use to receive 100,000 Bt / month from abroad but spend most of them (please no comment, :o )

A few days before the deadline, I managed to get 800K THB on the account and I obtained my extension.

I understood it's not possible anymore (cf. a lot of posts in Thaivisa)

You write it's possible.

Any clue?

Someone who got the extension RECENTLY?

By the way, thank you for the reply, Lite Beer

The information is still correct and valid. It is possible to apply for an extension of stay for retirement (retirement extension) based on a combination of income and money in the bank.

I'm very confused because all your posts related to the people who do not have the 65 Kb pension / month mention the 800 K THB in bank DURING 3 months.

Do you mean that this measure regards only the people who have not enough income from abroad?

Thank you

Example.

If your pension or income from abroad is only 35,000 Baht a month you would need 380,000 Baht in a Thai bank.

If you have no income from abroad you would need 800,000 Baht in a Thai bank. The 3 month in the bank rule was introduced because people were borrowing the money to put in the bank for the extension then taking it out again after approval.

There were even reports of certain Immigration officials lending the money at large rates of interest. Alegedly. :o

I do not have any pension. I have incomes. Average 100,000.00 Bt / month but I spend it. It's not regular but it's far more 1 million after 12 months.

If I have, let's say 1.5 millions income during the year and average 200,000 Bt on my bank account ALL THE TIME + 800,000 THB on the D day, am I eligible?

You must have Embassy confirmed income paper. It it does not fully meet the 65k monthly requirement you can use money in the bank to meet requirements (money does not have to be in bank 3 months in that case).
