January 7, 200818 yr I have worked as a teacher here in BKK for nearly 3 years. I want to bring my filipino gf here to live with me. I have a non immigrant B visa (multi entry) so what is the best visa that she can get. Is there any way around her having to leave the country every 2 or is it 3 months ? What would u do ? She probably wont work here but will go back to school to improve her English and start a degree. Thank you.

There's plenty of info about tourist visas on this forum. 2. Get an Education visa. 3. If you're over 50 and can get a non-immigrant O visa on the basis of retirement then she can stay with you on that visa as a dependant if you are married. 4. If you're loaded, then have her apply for an Elite Card for a cool 1.5 million baht.

Thailand does not recognise de facto / common law relationships at all; such relationships have no legal status at all. Enrolling in a degree course at a Thai University is the only way she is likely to be eligible to apply for a long stay visa.

Perhaps he doesn't want her here that much BTW the Thai Embassy in the Philippines is a sick place to get any Thai visa at all
January 8, 200818 yr I'm pretty much on the same boat. I'm a Filipina living in BKK with my boyfriend who's a teacher. I work online so I can't (and don't want to) get a job locally, so a non-b and work permit is out of the question. I suppose she can always get an ed visa if she's going to attend school here, considering she's going back to school to get a degree. She can also get a one-year ed visa by studying the language. I believe there's a school advertising on this site. Otherwise, she can go the tourist visa route like me. hel_l of a lot of anxiety, though. After all, one never really knows when one will be denied a TV. I'm going on my third TV in a few days, so you can imagine my nervousness. Anyhow, good luck! If you find of better ways to get your girl to stay here, do share.
January 9, 200818 yr The OP has been very quiet on this thread after asking for help. Her best option is an ED visa. I would suggest getting it in Penang or Laos. I wouldn't like his chances of getting a one-year multiple entry ED visa in Manila.
