April 9, 200818 yr I just finished reading Seven Years in Tibet. It's actually really, really good and Harrer is almost a totally different person in the book than in the movie. I really recommend reading it.
April 10, 200818 yr I have been re-reading "The Long Day Wanes" by Anthony Burgess. (Malayan Trilogy). See if you like it. BP
April 15, 200818 yr Nice topic...got some good ideas for new titles yet to read! I enjoyed reading A thousand splendid suns by khaled Hosseini Also the books of John Irving [A widdow for one year, Untill I find you, The Ciderhouse rules] For plain down-in-the-sun books: Tess Gerritsen [medical thrillers, nicely written! Like: The Apprentice, The Mephisto club, The Bone garden] and alltime girlstuff from Sophie Kinsella.
April 16, 200818 yr I read The Body Drama by Nancy Amanda Redd while being jailed in my home during Songkran holiday. It is a great new book. I do recommend it cause this book provides pictures, knowledge and encouragement to young women everywhere to help them avoid feeling insecure, ugly or imperfect when faced with the air-brushed women the media bombards them with. This book covers it all - from body hair, bras ,acne , weight issues, stinkies, bumpies, and even more !
