Scanned old pic.....tried it like this, scanned and saved as Tiff, came to 4.5mb file. Then edited it and saved it as a small Jpeg to upload....no editing other than resize and trim an edge that was rough.

By the way, this was me at 17yo.

By saying it should be your "own photograph" I meant you should be taking it,

not starring it it................ Not to worry.

You might try it as a Sepia shot, rather than Black and White.

I like it much better with the real colours in the photo.

ACDsee 5 :D

P.S. either that scan was bad or the photo is blurry :o

I think it was sepia, that is what the editing button said anyway.

As an allowance, it was taken with 'my' camera at least. This was my first camera that I bought with good old mums borrowed money at sweet 16...an Olympus OM10...still got it with me actually, took out a film that was in it the other day to develop, did not know it was in there, sat there since prior to my digital camera 5 years ago. Very disappointed as nothing was on the film.

Wow, that is awesome, the photo original has turned that colour and that was the scanned colour, the first one, also the print is a little blury....pretty good actually from a 18yo cowboy that was taking the pic for me.

How did you get that colour back in, simply amazing really. I have acdsee 7 and have no idea how to do magic like that.

edit: well bugger me, I just opened it with acdsee7 and hit one button to try to experiment and it worked, how simple is that.

Thanks Kan Win as I wanted to save the original large file size in nice colour also.

Easy really, "MrSquigle".

Pick a photo with your mouse, but do not click on the photo, then press "Edit" and then "Editor" another window will come up and press "Auto Levels".

It was talked about before the "Auto Levels" "Auto Adjust". Works sometimes great, other times not that good really.

Will post on this subject once I have some time free.

Yours truly,

Kan Win :o

You can keep going if you like, I put in a nice morning sky in and did a bit of sharpening and color tweaking.

If you really want to impress us you should put some balls on that heifer :o
