I'm flying to Udon Thani arriving after 3 Pm. Will I have enough time to get to the bridge and cross into Vientiane?

Not sure of the bridge opening hours.

Bridge should be open until 2200 from recent reports - although at least one person recently reported a problem at 2030; but was able to cross.

It's a 55km, 45 minute trip.

When you arrive at Udon Thani Airport, walk up to the "limousine services" counter and purchase a 150 baht minibus ticket and you'll be at the bridge before 4pm.
