I extended my Non-O retirement on 8 Feb 2008 "permitted to stay up to 18 Feb 2009".  No problem at all.

Went up to Laos for a week plus, Savannakhet & east to Tchepone, Thakhek & east to the Mu Gia Pass, then up to Xaysomboun/Moung Cha/LS-113 area.  Came back via Nong Khai yesterday, Sunday, 24 Feb.

So what'd the Immigration guy do at Nong Khai?  On 24 Feb 2008, he stamped me in to 18 Feb 2008, last week!!  What the hel_l?  Am I in overstay already?

Guess not, but blows a couple hours getting over to the correction counter at Suan Plu.

You do have a re-entry permit that says 18 Feb 2009 and that was what you listed as your visa? He probably just wrote the wrong number (2008) is much more likely than (2009) at this time of the year.

Exactly, but still probably requires a Suan Plu run to correct the error.  Oh, well, lunch at the Madrid, walk over to Sathorn, #62 bus to SP, do the deed, and back.

Not necessarily. You could go back to the Nong Khai border post and have it corrected there, but as you are apparently in Bangkok now you may find it more convenient to go to the Suan Phlu office.
