Bkk. To Koh Chang...options Please.

Featured Replies

I am going to Koh Chang next week(first visit) and would like to know about busses available from Bkk.......trip takes how long, how much and from where, etc ?

Evidently Bkk. Airways has the only direct flight but at 3000 baht ,I consider it too expensive....after all, it will only cost 1,700 baht from Udon Thani to Bkk.

Any info would be very welcome.....also any recommendations of budget rooms/resorts/bungalows, not far from the beach at White sands beach.

Also would like to know about best nightlife/bars/restaurants.....

Hope to get a response from people that have been there and would be very grateful for any advice.

Thanks in anticipation and chok dee to everyone !

The "public" busses (actually private companies) to Ko Chang leave from the Eastern Bus Station (Ekamai) station on Sukhumvit. You will have to connect to a ferry to get to Ko Chang so you want to get an early bus. It takes about 4-5 hours to get to your transfer point from Bangkok.

Also, any travel agent Bangkok would likely have a Ko Chang package that included VIP bus, ferry transfer, and hotel packages all inclusive. Maybe would be the easiest way to do it for the first time.
