I have a Netgear DG834Gv3 wifi router and a TOT ADSL modem (Speedtouch ST536 v6) and cannot seem to get the Netgear connected to the internet. I've repeatedly configured the Netgear through my web browser and have made sure the PPP settings are correct and still nothing. The connection is fine when I only use the TOT supplied Speedtouch, but not so much when I use the Netgear. Any suggestions?

I'm starting to think TOT has made it impossible to set up a 3rd party wifi router that circumvents the Speedtouch ADSL modem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is absolutely not the case.

Settings for TOT are:

connection type: PPPoE

Encapsulation: LCC

VPI: 1

VCI: 32

user name: aaaa@bbbbbbb where aaa is your telephone number and bbbb the subscibed package

password: aaaaa

IP adress: 192.168.1.1

Hope this helped.

Either setup the Speedtouch as a bridge and configure the PPP connection Netgear, or just use the Netgear as an accesspoint (which is bridge mode, not routing!)

Ok thank you so much, this worked. All I needed was the proper VPI and VCI, thanks again.
