Years ago I had a program that made a video recording of what I was doing on the computer screen but I don’t have it anymore and anyway I have made several upgrades to the Windows operating system and now use Vista Ultimate. Is there a program to do this, freeware or shareware?

Camtasia is doing an exellent job . I use it if I want to to show how a program is working and for other introductions.

Cheers.

"Key Logger Pro" takes screen shots at configurable times as well as recording all keystrokes. Very useful program, but not free. You can play back months of screen shots at high speed to remind yourself what you've been doing on the PC. I just tried Googling for it, but can't find a reference to the screen shots - the trial version I had certainly did that.

Not a program as such but could not a techie configure the screen shot function to work at various times (per second ?) and dump the data somewhere ?

Years ago we (the bank) ran VBA in Excel which took shots of trading screens and of the live Reuters feeds into Excel and sent them in emails with a backup dump to a set location. Not video but it worked on demand and was also preset to operate when certain limits or other criteria were reached.

I have opted for Camtasia and will probably get to work on it over the weekend.
