monty Posted March 20, 2008 Share Posted March 20, 2008 The 4GB is widely available, although with linux. It's easy to install windows XP yourself, and external CD drive is needed though. Quite a few of the eeepc's on show actually run WinXP, but in true Pantip style you can rest assured it is not a legal copy Not sure what the current price is of WinXP, but I guess it adds another 30% to the price of the eeepc! No problem running WinXP on the 4GB SSD, it is however advisable to upgrade the RAM to 1 GB (Approx. 700 Baht). Then do away with the pagefile and some unneeded stuff (screensavers etc) using something like XPlite, and you'll end up with roughly 1.5 GB used by your windows install.
