Where Is The Best Place To Buy Eee Pc?

Featured Replies

Anyone knows where is the best place to buy EEEPC with windows xp installed?

im looking at the 8gb version. not sure if its available in BKK?

Any one?

I have one bought in Taiwan (Chinese/English keyboard), but I don't think It'll be available in Thailand anytime soon!

Even there they had supply problems, courtesy of problems getting the 8GB SSD...

what abt 4gb? i see that the EEE PC has XP version now but not sure if its available in bkk already.

The 4GB is widely available, although with linux.

It's easy to install windows XP yourself, and external CD drive is needed though. Quite a few of the eeepc's on show actually run WinXP, but in true Pantip style you can rest assured it is not a legal copy :o

Not sure what the current price is of WinXP, but I guess it adds another 30% to the price of the eeepc!

No problem running WinXP on the 4GB SSD, it is however advisable to upgrade the RAM to 1 GB (Approx. 700 Baht). Then do away with the pagefile and some unneeded stuff (screensavers etc) using something like XPlite, and you'll end up with roughly 1.5 GB used by your windows install.
