Thai Wife/gf's Criticisms Of Farangland?

Yes, each town or city in the UK has a coven of Thai ex-BGs who only socialise with each other in order to compare their husbands' incomes, brand of car and value of property. Poor old hubby then gets it in the neck when it transpires that so-and-so's husband has just bought a new BMW - "I want a new BMW too!" The coven also operates as an informal Citizens Advice Bureau and the love of your life will come home spouting all kinds of rubbish as gospel.

Scouse.

Very true, Scouse.

My missus tries to keep away from that lot: gambling, borrowing money, pawning their gold, stealing dosh off the husband, shagging the nextdoor neighbour etc....

It's all go in suburbia.

Hi wolf5370, why everytimes you have to mention 'class' your wife came from upper middle class? What it's like to be an 'upper middle class'?

Hi AlleyPanda - I only say it when its relevent - not trying to wave a flag or anything. With a thread like this, I think it matters to know her background so as to understand her likes/dislikes.

A lot of the time, people here put down BGs, farmer's girls and poor/uneducated girls that find their way to being Mrs Expat. This comes a lot from Thais from middle (and above) class backgrounds and husbands thereof. Therefore, I think it is important to show that not all so called hi-so girls are snobs - my wife certainly isn't (IMHO). I think I am stating it for the opposite reasons that you think I am.

My wife has now been in Denmark for 6 years, she do not like the cold and wet season, but she loves the lifestyle and the amount of money she can earn when she calculates in to Thai Bath it sounds like a fortune, and I take care of most of our living expenses here :o
