A while ago I read about Sun Hemp or green manure on this forum. Apparently the seeds can be bought cheaply from the Amphur.

I'd be interested to learn more and maybe plant some. I have 4 rai of land and am starting with the garden, although there's already alot of fruit trees. What is the method? For example can I just scatter the seeds at the start of the rainy season, let the stuff grow and then use it as mulch?

Any help is much appreciated.

I'm interested in hemp seeds to eat...so like you thinking of growing...my understanding is that this is a very vigerouse "weed" type plant...if you thickly sow seeds and they get plenty of water(a high nitrogen firtilizer will help a lot)...they love sandy soils...i don't think you'll have a problem..you say seeds can be bought ''from the amphur"? can you explain please...many thanks...oz
