Good, finally Tesco is open. I can find my Tipco fresh fruit juices I like so much!!

But, what they will do with the big amount of land left behind??

Ah... Also rumors about the owner of the big hardware/cement shop before Thong Sala selling a big piece of land for some 20 millions baht to Big C. True???

i wonder if they built it that way to see how the small one worked out and if it made money, expand more like samui's with a lot of non food items?

i've also heard the big-C rumour in that big empty plot across from the girlie bars. seems to me that a Lotus and a big C is overkill for this island.

Last I heard, which was a couple of months ago, straight from the horses mouth (the owner of said piece of land) is that there are no plans for a BigC there.

But, who knows? things could have changed, he could have changed his mind, but from what I heard, BigC does not franchise so that idea was out for him.
