Which Number Is Which Cell Phone Company?

Featured Replies

can someone tell me which prepaid cell phone company is 0837xxxxxx? I want to recharge but don't know which card to buy.

Easy to open your phone and look at the Sim card,,,,,,,,,,should say on it what company.

Mine says "1 2 Call" so I know this is AIS

Don't all phones display the ID of the network provider on the screen?? Mine says TH GSM, so I know its AIS.

By the same token, is there any way to tell to what carrier I’m ringing to?

In order to know if I’m paying by the minutes or its part of my “promotion”?

Meaning, if I call any AIS I can talk free all day, but when calling other

Network it’s being calculated by the minute,

Nope, not really. There's this thing called "number portability" (sign up with one provider, then change provider, taking your number with you).

Which network is 0851xxxxxx ?

It's 8 years old.

Thanks :o

Which, as far as I know, hasn't been introduced in Thailand yet. (They're considering it for this autumn, probably meaning some autumn :o )

/ Priceless

There used to be a website where you could enter the number and it would tell you the service provider, but I think that was closed a few years ago.

There probably is some list somewhere as some government agency kept track of the blocks (100,000) of numbers as they were given out. Since there is no local number portability, those blocks remain intact with the original provider.

Examining the SIM seems like a pretty easy way to figure out the provider?

I just had another thought about the provider name,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,when I first bought my Sim(number) the SIm had several numbers stored in memory,,,,,,,,one for a balance check to see how much money remained and another to call service.

If you "check balance" on the phone it should display the provider in the return message with the balance figure.

Just another thought.
