I just noticed my 90 days address reporting was due today. I will go tomorrow but I'll be 1 day late. Does anyone know what (if any) the penalties are?

No penalty for reporting up to 7 days after the required date. Reports may also be made up to 7 days early.

From the immigration website:

The notification must be made within 7 days before or after the period of 90 days expires.

Thanks a lot for your replies, guys! I admit, I was lazy. I should have gone earlier but thought I'd go on the exact date it expires. In my head (and I even looked at the passport last week), that was May 15th. I just opened it now (almost 1am) and it says May 14th. Either someone changed the date last night while I was sleeping or I had the wrong date in my head.

But anyways, I'll be there first thing tomorrow morning when they open just in case. Had quite a bit of a shock as I never missed a 'visa date' yet :o

Maybe it was stamped in Morphing Ink, You know the one, The special ink that changes the stamps in the middle of the night and makes some people instantly overstay by a zillion days :D

If you did not know, you can actually do the 90 days report with a messenger. No need to go there your self.

2 days ago I asked a Thai mate of mine if he would post my 90 day reporting for me (I have never done it by post before) because he was walking past the Post Office on his way home. 4 times I asked him if he understood that it needs to be registered post etc etc, Yes Yes Yes he said, stop asking. So I shut up.

Anyway he wandered back today and I asked "Did you send it and get the receipt and everything", Yes he said, "I'm not stupid" and promptly handed me a receipt for a 10 Baht stamp !

After pissing myself laughing, I hope they get it !

When in doubt, do it yourself.

I just did mine on the 12th, it was due on 11th but that was Sunday and they were closed. Nothing said.

I went today and got it done within 15 minutes. The officer didn't even mention anything :o Had quite a shock last night, though!

I had my first retirement extension last week and immigration stapeled a note in my pssport saying:"any alien who failes to comply with will be punished with a fine not exeeding 5000 baht and with an additional fine not exceeding 200 baht for each day which passes until the law is complied with" (about the 90 days reporting)
