I am planning on an extended stay in Thailand and was wondering what my best bet visa wise is? I have a degree in culinary arts, so eventually i'll most likely be working at a resort or something, but I plan on doing a bit of travelling and relaxing first. How many visa runs can be made on a tourist visa? Would a NON-Immigrant-O be a better bet?

Also I am a healthy 27 yr old male, who should I get insurance through?

Any Help/Advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Tourist Visas are issued for a certain number of entries. It will state on the visa, either 1, 2, or 3 entries.

You can go to Vientiane Laos and get another tourist visa, if your current one does not have any more entries.

A tourist visa can be extended for 30 days at immigration in Thailand.

Redrum, as said, enter on a tourist visa, find a job, apply for a work permit, then change to a non-immigrant visa type B, pick up your work permit, get extension of stay for work.
