He said the engines doesn’t last as long if run on gas rather than on Petrol.

Don’t know what truth there is in it, but he was quit adamant about it.

I know one thing the industry says nothing about the long term effects of changing between different fuels over the life time of a engine. The focus seams to be on cost of fuel, cost of environmental impact and so on, but not the cost of engine replacement if it an issue.

I just had a ride with a taxi today. Corolla . Run mak kwa 500,000 km (driver said). No problem . Run on GPL. The driver said that a conversion can be done for 14,000 Baht, which actually confirmed what lot of TV posters mentioned in another thread.

Like i said it was a bkk taxi driver who said it to me. that does not make it correct.

there must be some pros and cons for this?
