Man Commits Suicide After Argument with Girlfriend

At around 2:00 on Thursday morning police and Sawang Boriboon rescue volunteers were called to an apartment on Third Road in Central Pattaya where they found a 41-year-old Thai male had committed suicide by attaching a rope to the ceiling fan and then hanging himself.

The ceiling fan was not turned on. A 33-year-old Thai female told police at the room that she had been having an illicit affair with the deceased but they had become involved in a heated argument earlier in the evening.

She claimed the man had wanted her to leave her regular boyfriend and move in with him on a permanent basis. She had refused and went out on the town to cool down. She tried calling the dead man but when he didn’t answer she returned to the room and found he had hung himself.

The ceiling fan was not turned on.

A crucial piece of evidence, if it had been turned on it would have required a greater degree of creativity on the part of the police to determine cause of death. But, never fear, the BiB would have risen to the challenge.

RIP to the guy, just shows that both farang and Thai men are suceptible to the wiles of the female of the species.

Sadly, some suicides of young Thai's is the result of being given the news that they have HIV infection. They don't want to burden their family and decide to hang. I know of two such cases within the last six months.

RIP. Suicides are nearly all traumatic. There is a lot of guilt for those left behind and so many unanswered questions. Tragic and sad.

By the way, if the fan was on, just how would get the rope tied around it or your neck? I try to keep things away from a fan that's on--especially my body parts.
