Hi all,

I have had a look at thread involving shipping and posting but can't quite find what I am looking for. I am trying to move about four boxes (70cm by 50cm by 50cm) from Shanghai to Rayong. Shipping (even less than container load) seems to be very expensive with prices around $2000US. DHL is cheaper, but it is difficult to arrange the signatures they need at both ends of the moving process since I will be back in the UK for two months over the summer.

I am thinking that good old China Post will be the best option to send, used clothes, books etc. I am wondering if these are subject to tax (or if this is pot luck). Any advice would be very well received regarding options available since I feel like I am going around in circles at the moment.

Many thanks in advance,

Emma

Give the old stuff to charity in China for the quake victims and the Post maybe has a good rate for books only.

Then go shopping when you get back
