Actually Boon Mee, back in the day doctors prescribed cocaine and opium to patients all the time. There is nothing wrong with drugs; it's obviously the people who abuse them that lose track and go off the rails.

There are still men (in the UK) being prescribed Diamorphine (Heroin) after they got hooked during the second world war ( as it's use as a painkiller)... They are still alive and very healthy, apart from their addicton to Diamorphine.

It is when drugs get cut and mixed with other substances (when sold illegally with no control) that they become most dangerous.
