Just had my latest email from Kasikorn and one of the items refers to a promotion with Thai Air Asia.

Buy a round trip ticket on any domestic route and get one free ( until 15 July 2008 ) with a K-credit card.

Only applicable to the above by the way.

Thought i,d post this in case it may be useful to other members.

I cannot download the exact details for posting but the info i,ve provided basically sums it up.

Hope it,s of use to any K-credit card holders who may not be aware of it and can possibly benefit by it.

Will their web card do or does it need a physical credit card ?

Hiya torrenova, i,ve just rechecked the email and it only gives basic info about a K-credit card.

I hope it does and you can take advantage of the offer, along with wileycoyote who may have already made enquiries.

It may be a good idea to pop in your local branch and check it out.

If this isn,t convenient due to location, email their customer services quoting the info in the OP.

What i,ve posted there is all they provide on the promotion, by the way.

Good luck to you both and any one else who may be eligible.

I have a savings account with K bank. I applied for a credit card but felt like they really didn't want to issue me one. I got tired of jumping through the hoops, and after one set there was another. I am working legally etc. They seem to be very "leary" of giving credit cards to "farangs." I was told," well they want to protect themselves in case farang leaves Thailand." ?????? So really different than gettin a credit card in USA. Any ideas/suggestions?

Without knowing any of the details of the promotion, I might guess that it isn't really a deal afterall..... I am going to guess that the person who flies free still pays the taxes and fees.... If that is the case you can go to their site and check frequently as I do, and you will see them have promo's for free seats, seats "as low as" (remember that catchy little phrase) 9 baht or 88 baht, etc., then when you get the TOTAL it is like 1409 baht or 2288 baht etc. with all the taxes and fees thrown in, so they have all their costs built in to the add-ons and if they get more like 9 or 100 or 1,000 baht, that is profit...... I may be wrong, but I have been in the travel business and I have strong suspicion over a deal like that...... Sometimes you will pay 1199 baht plus tax and fees for a ticket and in a case like that you will really save the 1199 baht on that free ticket........ My point is that it may not be as exciting as they book it to be except in certain instances, but once they get you thinking about a trip, you usually go regardless of not saving a lot and it steers the business toward them......... Just my opinion......... :o
