Authorities to take actions against LPG hoarding

BANGKOK: -- Commerce Ministry permanent secretary Siripol Yodmuangcharoen Sunday said he received a report from the Internal Trade Department that some operators had been hoarding the LPG ahead of the price hike.

"Such hoarding is illegal," Siripol said, "We will take harsh actions against the offenders".

If convicted, the offenders face up to seven years in jail and/or a maximum fine of Bt140,000.

Just how do you hoard LPG?

Fill up your tank?

Buy more cylinders?

I cannot see how this can be illegal??

You put a "gas mot" sign up at the front of your filling station when you still have full storage out the back in anticipation of a nearly 100% price rise due this wednesday so that your 100k baht stock today is worth 200k baht on wednesday. :D

You could always keep it in your 15 ton tanker truck, parked at your house where the authorities wouldn't be able to find it. :D Nooo... I didn't say that! :o

Soundman. :D
