Good Location For Mexican Restaurant?

Featured Replies

im thinking of opening a mexican restaurant in either pattaya or bangkok, but am having trouble finding a good location that isnt too expensive, if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

rent should be around 25,000-30,000 baht max.

i was thinking of one of those open air beer bars might be another alternative...but you think it would be too hot?

thanks

The new shopping centre, The Village on the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi chaiyapruek in Pattaya could be ideal. They have space for 2 or 3 restaurants and the rent is very sensible at 850 Baht per m2 including service. The best thing is that there is no key money and only 1 month deposit up front.

PM me if you want more info.

cheers

Mexican food will primarily attract American tourists. Americans tend to congregate around Walking Street, and don't stray too far away. You'll have some problems finding inexpensive space down that way: Soi 15/Sophon Court - maybe the gourmet ghetto behind Tukcom (Soi Day and Night 2) near Renoir's and Grottino.

If you build it, they will come.

PS: Serve good food and let us know where you end up. Tex-Mex I hope?

Ah, rental price is secondary to LOCATION for a restaurant's success, yet still a very important cost factor.

However, with that said....

IF you have _real_ Mexican food....you will be the first in Pattaya!!

There are a few places that offer food called Mexican, but they come marginally close at best.

Good luck with your endeavors..

I'll eat there regularly if it's any good and reasonably priced.
