Passport For My New Born......

Hello, my wife had our beautiful baby boy last week. All is well with both baby and mom considering that he was born almost a month premature.

We obtained his birth certificate yesterday. Does anyone know the protocol for obtaining a U.S. passport for the little one or should I just call the embassy (which stresses me out!)? My mother is coming out to see her lahn chai in October, but my wife and I would like to take him for a visit to the U.S. sometime next year. Your replies are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
