2, Daddy can not stay with the girls without the presence of the mother

3, Mum cant stay with the boys without the presence of the father

4, The arrested red-hair girl in stripy outfit cannot stay with any of the family members without the Police officer

Click on the people you want to transport

To use the boat click on the red dots next to the boat

This test was developed and used in Japan for job and university IQ tests

Mainly used in the IT sector

This test is solved in around 15mins (in Japan)

A variation on the ancient 'farmer, sheep, wolf, hay' or 'farmer, chicken, wolf, corn' childrens puzzle. More variables, more complex but the same principle.

Any indication what type of job and applicants this is aimed at?

Whilst it is doubtless an indication that the applicant is capable of logical thought and reasoning if I was presented with this at a job interview I would walk out!

It would be hard to take the interview seriously after recognizing this as something I conquered in 3rd grade

I have an Excel (macro) version of that puzzle somewhere, with basic animation of the frogs and foxes / children and villan etc.

--------------------------------------------------

This one is good first time round took me an hour while drinking a bootle of whiskey one night in a hotel on a 'trip', after a while I passed it one to someone else and realised that I could do it more quickly with a clear head - took about 5 minutes.

Zebra Puzzle aka Einstein's Puzzle aka Einstein's Riddle.

The original puzzle (I seen a few versions)

  1. There are five houses.
  2. The Englishman lives in the red house.
  3. The Spaniard owns the dog.
  4. Coffee is drunk in the green house.
  5. The Ukrainian drinks tea.
  6. The green house is immediately to the right of the ivory house.
  7. The Old Gold smoker owns snails.
  8. Kools are smoked in the yellow house.
  9. Milk is drunk in the middle house.
  10. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
  11. The man who smokes Chesterfields lives in the house next to the man with the fox.
  12. Kools are smoked in the house next to the house where the horse is kept.
  13. The Lucky Strike smoker drinks orange juice.
  14. The Japanese smokes Parliaments.
  15. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.

Now, who drinks water? Who owns the zebra?

(In the interest of clarity, it must be added that each of the five houses is painted a different color, and their inhabitants are of different national extractions, own different pets, drink different beverages and smoke different brands of American cigarettes. In statement 6, right refers to the reader's right. )
