If you search yahoo or google for pre paid credit cards you will see many sites offering them, but mostly they are pre paid debit cards with mastercard/ visa.

thanks for that, the problem is the delivery to thailand. i have searched for the last couple of days online, but no joy, i was just wondering if anyone else had gone through this problem and got a solution to it.

I let them send the creditcard to my mothers home in Austria. Than I call VISA (it was Visa) and told them to temporarily block the card.

Than my mother sent it. Than I activated the card again.

First Visa didn't want to do it, but after explaining that I am living in Thailand they were helpfull.

American Express offered to send it to Amex in Thailand where I can pick it up.

But that were regular cards.

Hi,

What you are after is not a "credit card" but a debit card.

If you apply for a basic flex account account with Nationwide then any funds you transfer to it can be drawn from that card in LOS without paying a fee for the conversion.

If you have a family member or friend who you can trust trust who is resident in the uk why not say you are with them at the moment and use their address and have them sent the card /documenttation to you in LOS?

My wife has a card in her name which she sent to her mother who draws from it in her home town saving the transfer fees.

No credit so there is no danger of them overdrawing from the account,
