i love Koh Tao being a diver and enjoying the coral.... but have to say the visability is getting worse year or year and the amount of plastic bottles being discarded is very sad to see, also a couple of lady bars are opening which is a shame for me as the island is slowly becoming the commercial nonsense seen on other islands....

Koh Tao is like Phi Phi + too small island to have their own individual news unless tsunami or drugdealers hit the shore...

samui should be a commercial island because it is a forang base island for all the other beauty surrounding it. as for kho Tao it should be protected as it has alot of natural beauty and u take that away it will not be a good island to visit.
