it's my understanding that the uk is now just one huge monstrous database and that banks, credit companies, insurance companies, government agencies all have access to ones financial liabilities.

if this cuts down on credit scams operated by lowlife lowrent scamsters then i'm all for it. like most of us i worked hard for what ive got and dont like to see turds taking advantage of the loan system. it will only make it harder for genuine people to get loans that might help them to get a decent start in business etc.

the companies offering unsecured loans are also the ones that chase hard on defaults.

the nauseating little sh1t who started this post might find it hard to return to the uk if he is up to his grubby neck in debt.

Guy walks into a Bank with an unloaded Gun, grabs 300 Pounds and runs out, is identified on security Cameras, gets caught a week later and is charged with Armed Robbery and gets 12 years imprisonment.

Our bloke here gets multiple unsecured bank loans and bumps the credit card companies and amasses 150,000 Pounds , clears off, has a blast, goes back 7 years later and says he is suffering from Alcoholism and Drug Addiction, and that he done those things while he was under the influence of Drink and Drugs.

He will immediately get Government help with his bogus addictions and will soon be able to claim Social Security, then have a miraculous recovery, get a job, and carry on as usual. His Sentence = he cannot get a credit card or a bank loan again

I bet he would not do 1 day in Jail.

And even if he did, he would be a Fraudster, a Catagory D prisoner, they go to nice places like HMP Ford, beautiful open prison in Arundel, Sussex. Bowling Green, Cricket Team, Football Team ( George Best once played for them ), your own room ( with key ), Great food, Nursery, Open Gates..............

Temptation ................... :o:D

So theoretically if I went back to the UK took out a hundred grand or so in loans made at least the first payments to show willingness to pay  them then returned here for 6 years I could go back and evrything would be back to square one.

Lots of others have done the same thing, and the worse that can happen is you get done for fraud, 3 year sentence = 18 months, Nice open prison like HMP FORD, piece of cake. Try for 200,000! :o

It's called bank robbery.

We've had a VERY long debate on this topic before, and basically it boiled down to this:

On one side: People with ethics. They think it's a bad idea.

On the other side: People without ethics. They think it's a great idea.

Decide which side you're on and make your decisions accordingly. Just remember you'll have to live with the consequences for the rest of your life. The idiots who are advising you that a 3 year sentence for fraud is "no big thing", aren't the ones who are going to be serving the time and/or living with a felony conviction on their records for the rest of their lives. YOU will be. So you might want to consider that before listening to them.

I have never paid a credit card or overdraft in my life, they keep giving me new ones, and I am pretty adept at building my credit rating back to a reasonable level. It can be done with no concequenses to speak of, and gordon brown foots the bill after 7 years

I’ve followed this thread for a couple of days and most say that I’m appalled that you are even considering stealing money like this. What you plan to do is criminal, and Thailand doesn’t want criminals like yourself. If you are serious about your plan then please do us all a favor and stay home in England!

I like ripping off banks, they weasel out of paying corporate taxes every year, I see myself as a modern day robin hood :o:D

I went to school with bloke who embezzled 2million from a pension scheme - he did two years then dissapeared - the money was never found.

Now tell me you wouldn't do that.

2 years in an open prison for 2 Million Pounds, ummmm, that's nearly 150 Million Baht..........

Where do I sign!! :o

I would do it.

P.S. I would do 2 years in Bang Kwang for the same money also. British prisons are better than some of the dives I have paid to stay in over the years, and you get well fed.

i really cant be bothered to get into a rant with you thieving scumbags , but the satisfaction achieved in amassing a fortune comes from the sense of self achievment and not ripping of money from others. the money taken from a bank is ultimately taken from all the little savers who slog away all their lives. your robin hood analogy is so far off the mark and further confirms to me that your skull is full of <deleted>.

Warning over pensions scam

Inland Revenue is investigating schemes

People are urged to be vigilant over a new scam, which is rapidly gaining a foothold in some of the UK's most needy communities.

The scam is called "Pensions Liberation" and targets people who have been made redundant by promising to unlock their company pension scheme.

The pension liberator takes a 20 to 30% cut of funds, while the new owner of the pension then pockets the rest.

As many as seven of these companies are believed to be being investigated by the Inland Revenue, although it refused to confirm or deny this.

Pension liberation

A source in the pensions industry told BBC News Online that sales reps were signing up people around housing estates, and targeting areas where there have been mass redundancies.

Focusing on these areas was an easy way for fraudsters to get their money on lucrative company pension schemes.

This is because unlocking a company pension scheme appears more attractive than paying for extortionate credit through door-to-door loan sharks.

He said: "It's attractive, because the rates offered are better than many loans or other credit deals. They are saying transfer to us and you will be able to get your money in a more desirable way."

But there is now real concern that people may lose their pensions.

Even if they do get their money, they will be hit with a 40% tax liability on the full fund, including the fee to the liberator.

Individuals could then face problems with the Inland Revenue if they fail to comply with these tax obligations.

A spokesman for the Inland Revenue, issued a statement to BBC News Online.

She said: "It is important that pension funds are used to provide people with income in retirement.

That is why the Government gives them generous tax treatment. If funds are used in other ways the Inland Revenue will take the appropriate compliance action.

This can involve the individuals who access their pension funds improperly in a substantial tax liability.

You are a little misguided as my Robin Hood analogy was most excelent it conjoured up images of my dashing self in tights racing around the forest rescuing maidens, playing with bows and arrows and filling in as many credit card applications as I could before the sheriffs men arrived! :o:D

I call getting 2 Million pounds Tax free, then doing 2 years in an open nick getting good food, Fresh country air, brushing up on the Bowls skills, achieving your highest ever break at snooker, and getting good at Table Tennis again , quite a good self satisfying achievment.

One should be in a good state of health when coming out to enjoy the 2 million pounds. :D

Or would I work in ASDA filling shelves for enough money to pay my rent every month, and a few pints down the local, working till I am 65 then drop dead of boredom ?

Some achievment that is ? :o

Umm... you only get a private room in Ford if you are over 45 I believe...but if you are you get a newspaper delivered also...Fact!

No, you get Single room accomodation at any age. You only go into the Barrack huts when you first go there for the induction period, within a few weeks you should have your own accomodation.

Newspapers are to be found in the well stocked Library, overlooking the Bowling green and Cricket Pitch! :o

Sounds like a fuxing Holiday Camp!!! :D
