Roll-over Ads

Featured Replies

on hotmail they have for a while those annoying roll-over ads that block the menu bar.

Firefox Adblocker cannot block those, any other way to get rid of this nuisance?

I use Ad Muncher, I just checked the Hotmail website, logged in read email (I normally use Outlook for my Hotmail) and did not see any ads. I haven't seen an ad in years anywhere and also save multiple GB of bandwidth.

It's possible those may be flash based. You can try Flashblock, an addon to FF to see if that helps.

The NoScript extension for FireFox can do this, but you will have to 'train' the extension by allowing your trusted websites as you browse. Some users hate this, I don't mind it since after awhile you need to do it less and less.

nope...this one didn't do it...

Try NoScript as previously suggested ... or even better, stop using Microslush Hotmail and use Gmail instead, a different league!

that's a real pain! not sure what is worse....having scripts run (and most pages apparently don't work without them) or the occasional roll-over ad....
