would like to take the train to koh samui from bkk i have a timetable from 4 year ago and would like a newer version.i would be stopping in hua hin both ways,so if i left say early morning from hua hin would i get to samui the same day.

The timetables on the 'net show only the main long distance trains. If u can get to a train station, ask for a paper timetable. Its in Thai language. It has all trains, local etc.

You need a train to Phun Phin station which is about 10 miles west of Surat.
