I am moving to Bangkok early mext year from Hong kong with my partner and dog! I would like to bring my philippino helper with me..anyone know of the rules around visas for her?

Domestic servant is not on the list of 39 "restricted occupations", so in theory it is possible to obtain a work permit, however in practice I would have thought it highly unlikely unless your current helper can demonstrate a unique skill that you would not be able to find in Thailand. "Cooks and cleans well" wouldn't be nearly enough. Given that there are tens of thousands of Thais employed as domestic help and much greater supply than demand, I would think the Labour Department's first question would be "Why can't you hire a Thai national for this job?".
