Retirement Visa

Featured Replies

I am planning for a Retirement Visa ( I will have the 800,000baht) in the next couple of years..

If I get one, am I then prohibited from working legally (i.e. with a Work Permit) further down the road..?

Retirement means retirement Chris. No legal work. Talk to someone like Sunbelt and see if the corporate way under amity is the way for you to go instead.

You should not be able to obtain a work permit with a retirement stay but nothing is ever absolute and you can always change your reason for stay/visa if you later decide to work.
