Why all the American political <deleted> in the VIP room??

Let's have some decent posts here!!

:o:D:D:D

Hey BP, at least I tried to start up a BG thread here. It went on a little while and then slipped away. I feel the same; I'm so tired of politics. It's just serious rubbish.

I am leaving for Bangkok this Wednesday the 24th and I have told myself I will not enter into any conversations concerning politics with anyone in Thailand. I will admit that I am guilty of your gripe and will become reformed as of now.

Well mbkudu, you better stick with farang who feel the same way because Thais love to discuss politics!

It's one of their favorite passtimes. :o

I have respect for Boonie, cornered and out-numbered, he argues on without ill-will or discontempt.

Cheers.

p.s.

Bush is still a retard.

:o

Since studly steve has left it is mainly boon and p1p who are the avid(fanatical) proponents.

though I watched an interesting show on abc asia pacific last night which leads me to believe iraq will go on for a while longer. it was the reporter in iraq doing the doco(?) for the BBC. monagan in iraq or something similar - worth seeing.

politics should be discussed but without the massive pastes from articles, a short excerpt covering the salient points and a link to the whole article should be sufficient.

But yes it is time to add some better threads into this section, or else the experiment will have failed. ole BC should be invited to become a vip member( somebody thought iammaic was eligable) , but I fear he pissed the doc off big time when he was banned for a while.

maybe the experiment of this section is doomed to failure.

I can't help but feel it has got out of hand too, but if you have a close look and think about it, politics is one of the few subjects that can be disvussed in here, and not outside.

The forum is open for any (VIP) member to post or start topics on (almost) any subject. So, at the end of the day, it is up to you folks to get going with interesting subjects, which will provoke responses and give us all something to think about.

I agree with you P1p, and I guess Bodypaul should just ignore the politics and start his own more interesting threads. I do understand how he feels though. America is always the one in the spotlight and it is so boring and tiring to hear about America this and America that, and the news is usually political or about some idiotic singer flashing a tit, or the mess in Iraq.

My interest in politics is in phases. Sometimes I'm really interested and other times I am so sickened by it that I have to just stop listening and tune it out of my head for awhile. I am in a tune out phase at the moment.

I still think the VIP room is a good idea though. It's place without crackheads. :o

Thanks for the good words, Worms! :D

I will take exception to stumonster's use of the term "fanatical" to describe my talking points. I'm merely bringing up the "other" side y'all don't see too frequently unless you read and watch unbiased press and that's tough these days.

Anyhow, happy debating! :D

I hear you, bodypaul. I've noticed VIP's turned into The Pit II as well. A part of me thinks we've taken advantage of the situation - being a VIP and all. But another part of me thinks <deleted>... at least, some dumb crackers can't get in here.

Right on. :D

"dumb crackers"...good one, LC! :D

"Inbred Redneck Crackers" gives more emphasis!

I'm still going to throw out a few "y'alls" just to keep y'all on 'yer toes! :o

But some of us can and have! :o

Actually I don't have a problem with politics, so if anyone wants to start up an Iraqi wotsit-type thingy then so be it. No one is forced to read or participate in it.

Anyway: let's bomb the US. :D

(We'll take back the thirteen colonies beforehand, though, as they speak so Anglo they may as well still be ours. :D )

No - No - No

Please leave them be, The last thing we need is the kind of @#$$#@!%#^ they would bring with them. Just get down on your knees and thank whatever deity you subscribe to that the Boston Tea party occurred.

And we can thank the "Craft" for that!

Dressed up as Indians. :D

Personally, I love it when I'm cornered and out-numbered. It keeps the senses sharp and peoples' true colors usually show up. And though not always, when it's one on many, I'm usually finding that I'm right. After all, there is a reason it is called "herd mentality." Cheers to Boonie. He's a bit further to the right than me, but it's hard to fault a patriot.

Instead of complaining about it, get off your duff and do something. The other day, I came in here and Boon Mee was the only one who had posted anything (in nearly every topic too!).

You gotta give the man credit, at least he contributes. If its not what you want to hear then start something you do want to hear.

the simple answer is cos TM & Boon has access... :D

we like Boon though :D

(would you believe I have no idea what boon´s politics are... I never read too much detail on the political threads (hint hint nudge nudge says a happy unaffected kayo to body´paul))
