Multiple Entry For Us Citizen? Time Limit?

Hello!!

I'm sure you guys have answered this question MANY times before.. so let me thank you in advance for being patient with me! (i just joined!)

I'm a US citizen set to arrive in Thailand December 5th. I was going to apply for a (60 day) tourist visa extension before I left the US because i'm kind of just winging it once I get to Thailand, no return ticket yet! Question is. . . If I spend a few weeks in Thailand then pop up to Laos for a couple days, when I re-enter Thailand will the 60 day visa be renewed? Or should I bypass the 60 day visa and stick with the 30 day if it is going to be renewed?

I've read a few posts stating that it is possible to enter and exit Thailand 3 times during a 90 day period.. but i've read others saying that it is super difficult to do that and the government has been really strict lately.

I appreciate all the advice/help you can give!!

1. You are in the wrong forum.

2. You probably would not be allowed on the plane without a ticket out of Thailand if you do not have a Visa.

3. If you leave Thailand your Visa will be used/finished unless you get a re entry permit from Immigration for 1,000 Baht. This will keep your stay alive . It will not give you extra time.

You could maybe get a double entry Tourist Visa or just get the single and use 30 day entries when you visit Laos and come back.
