today I cooked a green curry with okra and monkfish. I can't find what monkfish is called in Thai - can you help?

Dorry, Monkfish is mostly from the northwest Atlantic ocean.... I don't think it speaka Thai :-P

Aircut, I was afraid to hear this. Do you have any idea what a good substitute would be? May be big prawns?

There's no fish/seafood with the same texture/taste here in Thailand like monkfish.

Replacing it with big prawns is a good idea but very expensive but agree the taste comes very close....even better.

i buy frozen ready prepared monkk tails,wrap them with parma ham and bake,delicious!

oh sorry the source on them is ASIA from www frozenfishdirect.com in uk.
