Dentist Recommendations For A 13 Month Old Baby

Featured Replies

We want to take our 13 month old daughter for a general check up as she is now teething. I tried to book an appointment with Dentaland but they say they are booked up until middle of December.

We would like to take her somewhere which has dentists who know about infants and not just mainly adults.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :o

Hi buzzer,

if you go to Fortune Dental next to the PTT gas/NGV station coming from Airport PLaza towards Big-C on Mahidol Rd, they can accomodate you with a good pediatric dentist. Its better if you go in there and ask them for an appointment. I doubt they would be booked up till December. This place is really close to Airport plaza. Pass the new Nissan Showroom, the Caltex Petrol station and there is it next to their Fortune Residence on your left.

TB..

The clinic opposite Suan Noi nursery school, on Nimmanhaemind Rd has a paediatric specialist (but not every day). Pop in and make an appointment - very professional and not as expensive as certain other clinics mentioned.

Do you really need to take a 13 month old baby to a Dentist?!?!? Seems a bit pointless - it's not like they can do anything or make any suggestions. :D

My mother in the UK recently took my 2 year old niece for a check up it literally took 1 minute - open . .. ermm yep all ok . .. . finished .. .. :o

When my son turned 1yo, I asked our pediatrician whether we should take him to see a dentist, she said no point doing it now. She said she'll suggest taking him to see a dentist when he's 2-3yo.

What you can do is to clean your baby's gum daily. Either use a washcloth or buy the "pre-tooth brush".
