It's further out past Hang Dong, roughly where the North Chiangmai University is.

More good news for those of us living south of CM, my barber told me that Tesco-Lotus are planning a new store just south of San Patong, a little bit further out from the Hospital traffic lights.

No idea of the time scale involved, but things certainly have improved greatly shopping-wise down here.
