bunta71 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I have been advertising my used Washburn on the Thai visa classified ads and BahtSold....Not one inquiry in a month. Any other helpful suggestions as to other avenues to advertise in locally??
jackr Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 How about popping into the music shops in Central and Airport Plaza in air-conditioned comfort for starters? If they don't want it, they may have some useful tips... then again, perhaps not
bunta71 Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 Thanks..sounds like an idea that may work. Anyone else?/
Dustoff Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Good question and posting here is a good place to start as long as TV will allow it. There usta was a very popular publication called the Chiangmai Trader News that carried a vast array of free ads but unfortunately they gave up their printed edition, much to my dismay. They were connected with Asia Trading Post and you could try searching at asiatradingonline.com This was long ago but I think it was managed by someone named Tama who was connected with the Irish Pub or something? Perhaps someone here can provide more info but I, for one, would LOVE to see another 'free ads' publication surface in Chiang Mai. I sold several motorcycles and other items thru the Trader News and even now have a 750 Shadow for sale and have little idea where to effectively get the word out to fellow expats. Good luck, Booty..
Drew Aitch Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Hi bunta71 Why don't you try your luck here and give some details and price etc. You never know who might be reading You could also get it in CM Classifieds for next Friday's newsletter i would think. Aitch
bunta71 Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 Anchorage used to have a radio program called "Tradio" in which you called in what you had for sale, etc. Was very popular.
bunta71 Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 Being the upstanding citizen I am I would never post the particulars about my Washburn D-11 guitar w/hard case here as it is not appropriate. Anyone can read the ad in thai visa classified or PM me for details.
Samuian Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 (edited) tried Baht&SOLD as well? Tried drop the price a bit? Edited October 24, 2008 by Samuian
Drew Aitch Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Is the Washburn D-11 guitar the one where the entire body is made from beautiful mountain ash and delivers a wonderful warm sound with brilliant highs, and has terrific volume.?

FolkGuitar Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 No this one looks like crap, sounds shitty when I play it! Picture of it on Bahtsold and did just lower the price. It really is a steal.Beutiful and like new I know that the guy you bought it from really took good care of it.... It's a nice guitar! Beautiful looking, fast action, and great tonality! I still think you should give up the bagpipes and learn to play guitar!
bunta71 Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 Bagpipes keep the neighbors hundred dogs at bay or is it baying???
