Artist Visa..?

Anyone heard/know about an Artist visa for ThaiIand? Rare? FabIe?

Was taIking to someone recentIy about wishing to know the various ways to gain a Ionger stay visa, and, as my background is in Fine Art (aIthough the Iast few years my art work has been 3d graphic/animation), I wondered if I may be abIe to fit the criteria.

The extension of stay for artist is for performers. Look here, 7.16.

That section refers to artist/performer, not fine artist. Searching the document for "artist" is not coming up with anything. I stiII need to have a good read through though. =]

I don’t see 7.16 as applying to you because you are not “a performer in a show, entertainer, vocalist or musician performing at a hotel or engaged by a company in Thailand in the entertainment business”

Yes, i agree Maestro.

I had a look through the document and i sadly cannot see anything referring to Fine Artist. The friend i spoke to had mentioned to me that his friend had obtained an artist visa no problem, but i think i need to clarify if he had maybe meant an artist in the sense of performer.

If anyone has heard of an Artist visa for Fine Artists, any info would be great.

If i find out anything on it myself, ill post here.
