tangoll
Is anyone else experiencing much longer to open up a page for threads in Thaivisa? Just the past two days, this has occurred on my computer, and I don't think it's my computer or operating system; all other sites are opening up normally. In Thaivisa, it seems to be hung up waiting for a subsite called...ads.admaxasia.com. Anyone else experiencing this delay?

think_too_mut
Yes, terribly slow. Takes 4-6 minutes to open a topic. However, it happens only from work, where my company's gateway to the world is based in Europe (France). From home, it goes from Japan and access is normal. I guess, must be something with the cables to Europe while links to Asia (Japan) are fine. Only last 2 days (could be last weekend too but then I was accessing from home). Gravelrash
Agree, sometimes very slow to open, sometimes just give up. I don't have a slow internet access.

cali4995
I routinely use various internet cafes in Thailand and this problem seems to be getting progressively worse. Not sure if it's the new generation of "flash" ads which often "stall" the page loading but also the "google syndicated ads" seem to hang-up the pages equally as well. Not everyone has the latest light-speed gear (In fact I suspect most don't). Opening pages and attempting to navigate has become so difficult, I've no doubt it's affecting traffic to some degree. george
The problem is the bottleneck to the International gateway. Our servers are optimized with very good bandwidth and uptime: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Thaivisa-Ser...ss-t216544.html
Crossy
The problem is the bottleneck to the International gateway. Our servers are optimized with very good bandwidth and uptime: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Thaivisa-Ser...ss-t216544.html I have no doubt that the Thaivisa servers are running just fine, BUT, the 'other' Thai forum loads fast as do other international sites. I don't like blocking ads as they often have interesting content (and help keep the site free) but we seem to be getting hung up on ads.admaxasia.com an observation borne out by the speed at which things load when ONLY this site is blocked using the Adblock Plus add-on for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 In this instance the revenue gained is overshadowed by the pain doled out to the users by the crumby speed this provider is er, providing EDIT Tracert to ads.admaxasia.com (from CAT line in BKK) C:\Users\DaveC>tracert ads.admaxasia.comTracing route to ads.admaxasia.com [64.237.108.12] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 10.105.1.3 2 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 10.105.2.1 3 9 ms 5 ms 6 ms 61.7.147.1 4 6 ms 6 ms 5 ms 61.7.148.29 5 6 ms 6 ms 5 ms 202.47.247.254 6 6 ms 6 ms 6 ms 61.19.10.17 7 6 ms 6 ms 6 ms 202.47.253.146 8 67 ms 68 ms 67 ms 202.47.253.194 9 68 ms 191 ms 68 ms 220.73.154.201 10 103 ms 103 ms 102 ms 211.48.63.169 11 104 ms 103 ms 103 ms 59.18.43.73 12 104 ms 104 ms 104 ms 59.18.43.46 13 238 ms 238 ms 238 ms 220.73.154.10 14 237 ms 238 ms 240 ms po5-1.core01.lax05.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.13.137] 15 228 ms 227 ms 231 ms te3-1.mpd01.lax05.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.6.186] 16 221 ms 222 ms 221 ms te8-3.mpd01.lax01.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.0.213] 17 271 ms 271 ms 272 ms te9-8.mpd01.iah01.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.0.230] 18 291 ms 290 ms 290 ms te3-7.mpd01.dca01.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.5.201] 19 290 ms 293 ms 290 ms te8-1.mpd01.dca02.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.1.70] 20 284 ms 283 ms 284 ms vl3497.mpd01.iad01.atlas.cogentco.com [154.54.5.66] 21 309 ms 309 ms 309 ms ThruportTechnologies.demarc.cogentco.com [38.112.21.246] 22 309 ms 309 ms 309 ms 64.237.108.12 Trace complete.
