How do thais speak about negative numbers.

specifically I was just trying to explain it was -2C overnight in the UK. does 'song tai soon' translate like 'two below zero'? would this be a usual way to speak about negative temperature?

is there a specific term for just the number 'minus 2'?

-2C would be ลบสององศาเซลเซียส (lóp sŏng ong-săa sen-sîat), can be written as -2. the is an abbreviation for Celcius.
