there was someone here earlier tonight looking for the same info and got about 6 or 7 replies regarding good dentists. I dont know where that threds gone now.

I don't think you should need to spend 1500 baht to get the job done, thats a tad expensive.

Maybe you should look under Dental work recommendations in health body and medicine, theres a stack there.
